Gigi Becali was bothered by Florin Tănase's intention to leave FCSB and revealed a conversation the midfielder recently had who turned 31 on Tuesday.
The boss of FCSB, Gigi Becali, was asked at Digi Sport if he called Tănase to wish him a happy birthday.
“I didn't say “Happy New Year!” to him, because he upset me. He called me and said: “Nie Gigi, I have an offer from China, for two years, and he gives me 1.3 million”. Because we had an agreement, if he leaves before eight months – I made a contract before eight months, that if they passed, there was no transfer period. In eight months he can leave”, said Becali, according to golazo.ro.
“He said no. And I said: “Okay, me, leave then”. But at least if he said to me: “Well, Gigi, I have an offer of 3 million a year”. Or two million. Basically, in other words, you tell me that you take a million from me in a year and leave for China for 1.3 million. Well, aren't you ashamed? And I hung up on him,” the FCSB boss continued.
Florin Tănase returned to FCSB in 2024 after two years in Golf and quickly became one of the core players of Charalambous' team, decisive in winning the title the previous season.
