5.8 earthquake in Turkey: a girl died of panic, dozens of people were injured by jumping on the window or running out of houses -Video / There are no material damage, the authorities say

A teenager died and about 70 people were injured following an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8, whose epicenter was 68 km deep at large, about ten km offshore by the South-West of Turkey, the Turkish Minister of Interior announced on Tuesday, according to AFP.
The earthquake, which took place on Monday at 2:17 am (the same hour in Romania), was also felt in Southeast Greece, in the Dodecanese islands, including Rodos, where tourists were evacuated from hotels, as well as in Egypt, according to local organization bodies of seismic activity, without causing injured.
In Turkey, at Fethiye, “a 14 -year -old teenager was transported to the hospital following a panic crisis, but unfortunately died despite all the care,” said Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
About 70 people were injured while running to shelter, some of them after “panicked from height” in the Mugla Tourist Province, where Marmaris is, the minister added.
“Our damages evaluation teams continue the field recognition operations. So far no damage has been found,” said the Minister of Urbanism, Murat Kurum.
Numerous clips distributed on social networks show that people in the area out of the streets for fear of earthquake.
