After being resuscitated in Moscow, Kadyrov returned home to Chechnya and has not appeared in public since. As a result, the State Council continued the meeting without the representative of Chechnya.

The Chechen leader, known for his close ties to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, has previously admitted to suffering from nervous breakdowns and constant tension, which he attributed to worries about Chechen fighters involved in the war in Ukraine.

At the beginning of the year, Kadîrov was hospitalized at the Aimedi private clinic in Groznyi, but his health continued to deteriorate.

Throughout the year, Kadyrov has repeatedly denied rumors of his health problems, declaring in August that he is “healthy” and that he does not need daily medical consultations.

Russian media claim that the Chechen leader may have kidney problems or pancreatic necrosis, although the exact diagnosis is not publicly known.

In July, the Turkish publication Milliyet reported that Kadîrov had health problems while on vacation in Turkey and was briefly hospitalized.
