The 14th stage of the National Men's Basketball League ended on Tuesday, December 30, the penultimate day of the year. CSM CSU Oradea is the leader of the competition, having 3 more victories than CSO Voluntari, the second place holder.

At the beginning of this week, the 7 games of the 14th round of the National League took place. The most spectacular match of the stage was the one in Brașov, between Corona and CSM Târgu Mureș, which needed two overtime periods.

Aged 38, Goran Martinic had a great performance in Brașov

Being in a modest period, CSM Corona Brașov hoped to end 2025 with the right. It didn't work because the visitors didn't give up, they gave an extremely solid reply and, after two extra periods, they prevailed 120-117.

The best player of the match was the veteran Goran Martinic, who, at 38, played 48 minutes and collected 36 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and a +40 efficiency rating. Therefore, the Montenegrin is the MVP of the 14th round in LNBM.

Another balanced duel was between FC Argeș Basketball and SCM Politehnica Timișoara. Pitesti changed their coach before this game, replacing Nebojsa Vidic with Andreja Marusic.

The hosts won the white-purple matchup 88-86, thanks to a solid performance by Marcus Thornton: 28 points, 5 rebounds.

Another team that made a change on the technical bench is CS Vâlcea 1924: Ciprian Enache replaced Arturo Alvarez. The “Black Wolves” were seriously tried by Steaua Bucharest, but they managed the end better and won 83-76.

CSM CSU Oradea overcame the surprising defeat by Steaua and took revenge on rival Dinamo Bucharest, score 95-69, while Rapid Bucharest continues to be in crisis. The group from Giulesti was defeated at home by SCM U Craiova with 95-84.
