On Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. the euro was worth PLN 4.2289, which is similar to the day before, when the price of the community currency increased by over a grosz. The euro exchange rate has been rising since the beginning of last week after previously reaching its lowest level since April, falling close to PLN 4.20.

A similar rebound took place on the dollar-zloty pair. In the morning, for a “green” one had to pay PLN 3.5940, although on Christmas Eve the USD/PLN exchange rate dropped almost to PLN 3.57 and thus was close to the long-term minimum from mid-September (PLN 3.5670).

However, the situation on the world's main currency pair remains unchanged. During the Christmas and New Year period, the EUR/USD rate fluctuates in the range of USD 1.17-1.18. So slightly below this year's high of $1.19185.

The franc-zloty pair is also stable. On Tuesday morning, the Helvetian currency was valued at PLN 4.5534. Since April, the CHF/PLN exchange rate has been moving in a sideways trend ranging from PLN 4.50 to PLN 4.60. In November, the franc tested the upper limit of this range, and in mid-December it was close to the lower band.

The British pound cost PLN 4.8540, continuing the rebound attempt initiated over a month ago. On November 19, sterling cost less than PLN 4.76 and was the cheapest in 6 years.
