Lidl will soon have a “round” number of stores


“The chain closes 2025 with over 950 stores throughout the country. Since January, several dozen new outlets have been opened, which appeared for the first time in towns such as: Rypin, Milicz, Marcinkowo, Pniewy, Szubin, Wolbrom, Zakręt, Miłków, Dobra, Gorzyce, Lubsko, Nasielsk and Sulęcin. The logistics center under construction will also help in further expansion. It has been established since June 2025 in Skawina, Lesser Poland Voivodeship. “It will be the largest Lidl logistics facility in Poland. It will employ approximately 200-250 people, and its opening is scheduled for 2027.” – we read in the announcement.

Aleksandra Robaszkiewicz, director of Corporate Affairs and CSR at Lidl Polska, also adds that next year Lidl Polska will allocate over PLN 240 million for pay raises and the creation of new jobs
“From January 1, 2026, remuneration for store employees will range from PLN 5,600 to PLN 6,750 gross, in distribution centers from PLN 6,000 to PLN 7,700 gross, and store managers will be able to count on salaries from PLN 8,500 gross,” we also read in the announcement.
The competition is getting fiercer
The market of large-format stores in Poland is becoming more and more competitive. Chains such as Biedronka and Dino are developing, but Aldi and Netto also do not hide their ambitions. The latter network also wants to have 1,000. stores in Poland.
— We now have just under 700 stores. How do we develop? On the one hand, we are growing organically, but we also have a special team that is looking for new locations. We try to be flexible, said Brian Olesen, managing director of Netto Polska, in an interview with Business Insider Polska.
