As People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported, in 2024 the Poltava Oblast spent UAH 372 million on fortifications in Donetsk region. Instead, the fortifications turned out to be unusable, and at least UAH 200 million, according to the investigation, disappeared. Instead of defense, the military received only partial structures, similar to scenery.
The investigation materials include photos, documents, financial transactions, names and transcripts of officials' conversations, which confirm large-scale corruption. As a result, the positions at the front, where the defense was supposed to appear, were lost.
Zheleznyak also emphasizes that those involved in the case have not yet been brought to justice. The former head of Poltava OVA Philip Pronin and his deputy are now occupying new positions in Kyiv, and the companies that participated in the scheme have already received state contracts worth billions
According to the results of the investigation, tomorrow the parliament will hear the head of Finmonitoring, former head of the Poltava Region Philip Pronin, and acting of the head of OVA Volodymyr Kogut regarding the investigation into the construction of fortifications and the disappearance of hundreds of millions of hryvnias and subsequent billion-dollar contracts.
