Smilyansky poses in the frame with a plate in his hands, on which lie three sandwiches with sprat. For the shoot, he chose a white themed T-shirt with a picture of a sprat.
“The last Sunday of the year. The last sprat of the year,” he wrote.
Smilyansky's photo caused a furor on the Internet. Answering questions from followers, the head of Ukrposhti notedthat the sprat on his plate is exclusive.
“Come on! Is that possible?” – jokingly indignant subscribers.
“And alone. Oops, that’s no good. We want it too,” they envied Smelyansky followers.
“We have such people that they won’t even let you eat in peace,” they supported Smelyansky in the comments.

Smelyansky often posts photos of food he likes online.. He usually prefers fish and seafood.

Igor Smelyansky has been heading Ukrposhta for almost 10 years.
In May 2025, Smelyansky reported that his salary as general director of Ukrposhti in 2024 was for the year 11.72 million UAH before tax.
Smelyansky is married to US citizen Natalie Myshkina. Spouses raising two children – sons Maxim and Igor. The family of the head of Ukrposhti lives abroad, and he rents an apartment in Kyiv.
