More than 20,000 households in localities located in the northern area of Prahova county have no electricity, Monday evening, due to the blizzard that caused damage to the power supply network, according to the centralized data of Distribuţie Energetică Ploiesti, quoted by News.ro.
Among the affected localities are the municipality of Câmpina, the second largest city in Prahova county, as well as the resorts of Sinaia and Azuga, where cottages were left without electricity.
Monday evening at 6:00 p.m., 21,689 consumers in Prahova county had no electricity, due to damage caused by the blizzard in the northern area of the county, which is under a bad weather code orange.
In Sinaia, due to the extremely strong wind, the cable car in the resort, the Babele area and the Coștila relay have no electricity. In the resort of Azuga, fallen trees broke the power lines that provided electricity for two cottages.
In the municipality of Câmpina, 2,769 consumers do not have electricity.
The towns of Berte, Brebu, Telega, Măneciu, Izvoare, Teişani, Corbu, Starchiojd, Poseşti, Drajna, Groşani, Ceraşu and Bătrâni were also affected by the power outages caused by the storm.
Nine intervention teams were on the ground, to repair the damages that occurred.
