Ranked 10th after 21 stages played in the regular season of the Superliga, Farul Constanța still hopes for a place in the play-offs. However, the white-blues have a hellish schedule at the beginning of next year, they will receive the visit of the teams from the first part of the hierarchy, Universitatea Craiova, Dinamo Bucharest and Rapid Bucharest, to which is added an opponent, CFR Cluj.
Ianis Zicu called his students to training on January 5. Unlike most teams in the first league, Farul will not go abroad, going to carry out the winter training at its own sports base, from the Hagi Academy, to Ovidiu.
Farul Constanța remains in the country for the winter camp and will play two friendlies
Until the championship resumes, the team from the seaside town will also play two friendly matches. The first is scheduled for January 10, at home, against an already traditional opponent, Cherno More Varna, the 4th place in the Bulgarian first league.
A day later, the blue-and-whites will travel to Mogoșoaia, where they will duel with the 3rd place holder in the Superliga, FC Botoșani.
The first official match of 2026 for the Constantinians will take place on January 17, from 18:00, when they will play at home, against FC Hermannstadt, in the 22nd round.
The Constantinians have only obtained two points in the last five stages.
Nothing surprises me at the Lighthouse. It's the 7-10th place team. It has no top 6, but no relegation either. As long as it's in places 7-10, it's ok.
Zicu is not in danger. As long as it's in the 7-10 range, it's good. Do you think anyone thinks they have a top 6 team? They do not have a team from places 1-6. They don't have a playoff team.
