The migration influx of labor into Russia after 2022 has not been able to recover to pre-Covid levels — RANEPA study
In 2023, the number of foreign labor migrants in the Russian labor market amounted to about 3.5 million people, which is almost 1 million lower than in 2019.
The main sources of foreign workers in the Russian Federation are Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. More than half of all foreigners registered for migration purposes (55–60%) come to Moscow, St. Petersburg and the region.
