Butter becomes more expensive in Russia due to shortage of cows
Butter prices in Russia may need government regulation: according to Rosstat, they rose by 7.9% in August and September, and by almost 18% since the beginning of the year.
Producers said that there is not enough milk in the country to satisfy the growing demands of Russians. Even in pre-Covid times, up to 165 kilograms of milk were required per person, but now it is 270 kilograms.
