16.9 percent inhabitants of the EU lived in overcrowded apartments, in Poland the percentage was 33.7%. – Eurostat reported.


Over 30 percent inhabitants of 5 EU countries lived in overcrowded households. The highest percentage was recorded in Romania (40.7%).followed by Latvia (39.3%), Bulgaria (33.8%), Poland (33.7%) and Croatia (31.7%).
The lowest overpopulation rates were recorded in Cyprus (2.4%), Malta (4.4%) and the Netherlands (4.6%). (PAP Business)
