Denis Kapustin, commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), fighting against Russia together with the Ukrainian army, died as a result of an FPV drone attack in the Zaporizhia sector – the Interfax-Ukraine agency reported on Saturday, citing the RDK channel in the Telegram messenger.


The exact circumstances of the death of the commander of the Russian unit are not yet known.
According to the media, Denis Kapustin (ps. White Rex; also known as Denis Nikitin) was born in Moscow in 1984, but lived most of the time in the western part of Europe, including in the Netherlands and Germany. He was associated with far-right and fan circles. In 2014, he took part in the Euromaidan protests in Kiev.
Kapustin took part in combat operations at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, including: in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine. In August 2022, he founded the Russian Volunteer Corps, a unit subordinated to the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This formation took part, among others, in rally activities on the territory of Russia, including in the Bryansk and Belgorod regions. (PAP)
