Peace plan. Donald Tusk on a key issue
What do we know after the meeting? “All interlocutors (also joined by the Scandinavians, Canada, the Netherlands and NATO) agreed that security guarantees for Ukraine are crucial. Specific and certain. Such guarantees also mean a safer Poland. Tomorrow, after the meeting of the presidents of the USA and Ukraine, we will return to the conversation” – wrote on the X platform.
According to the dpa agency, a telephone conversation between President Zelensky and European leaders was to take place on Saturday evening. It was supposed to concern work on ending the Russian-Ukrainian war, including primarily territorial issues and security guarantees for Ukraine.
The conversation preceded the meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and the USA scheduled for Sunday. It will take place in Palm Beach, Florida at 3 p.m. local time (9 p.m. in Poland).

Peace plan. Disputed issues between Ukraine and Russia
Arrangements regarding control over the territories remain controversial issues in the ongoing negotiations. Russia demands the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the previously unoccupied part of Donbas (mainly the Donetsk Oblast), while Kiev wants the front line to be frozen in its current positions. The issue of control over the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, occupied by Russian forces, is also still being discussed.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that talks on ending the war had reached a “turning point”, although the version of the 20-point peace plan presented by Kiev differs from the one discussed by the US and Russian delegations.
