U-BT Cluj Napoca defeated Studentski Centar (Montenegro) on Friday, score 96-85, in the Adriatic League. The Transylvanians continue their excellent form and have won three consecutive victories in this competition. The game was marked by an extremely tense time-out by Petar Mijović, the visitors' technician.

He was extremely unhappy with the refereeing and launched a series of insults at the referees. The suburban words were heard on the TV broadcast from Montenegro, according to sportal.blic.rs. The duel was not broadcast in Romania.

“Don't fall, don't fall! This garbage steals the whole match! Don't fall, it's clear? You play on the foul line! Some garbage, I put f*** in your mouth, f** in your mouth, peasants!”, “thundered” the coach of the visitors.

The match referees were from Serbia. It is about Vladimir Tomic, Aleksandar Milojevic and Vladimir Veskovic.

After the match, Mijović had a much calmer speech.

“First of all, I want to congratulate the team from Cluj. They played very well, they made many difficult throws and brought a lot of energy, and in the end they deservedly won. I think we played a solid game as well, except for the first quarter when we came in a little soft.

Otherwise, I am satisfied with certain moments of our game, especially considering the value of the opponent.

Cluj is one of the most difficult teams in this competition and in the Eurocup, with very strong players. Like I said, I'm really happy with some parts of our game.

I never gave up and did everything I could to stay in the game. In the end, a few successful hard throws in the last four-five minutes decided the game”, said the technician, in a much calmer tone.

U-BT Cluj Napoca is on the rise

U-BT won 96-85, marking the eighth win of the season in the regional competition.

Transylvania started the match strongly. The players coached by Mihai Silvășan quickly led 21-10 and continued to increase their gap. Aiverson Molinar was excellent, pulling the team after him, and after the first 10 minutes the score was 29-17.

However, Studentski Centar reacted. The team from Podgorica showed that they can put up serious resistance and are fully back in the game. After 20 minutes, the score was 44-41. The replica continued in the third quarter.

Although Fets Russell and Molinar were in great form, the visitors responded through Dreznjak and Nikola Pavlicevic. However, the hosts managed to pull away in the final minutes of the third quarter, entering the final act with a 68-60 lead.

In the last quarter, Cluj managed to definitively break the balance. The guests tried to come back one more time, but failed again. The team from Cluj controlled the end of the match and closed the game without emotions in the last five minutes, getting a well-deserved eighth win of the season.

Molinar and Russell combined for 47 points. Molinar had 24, Russell 23. On the other side, Aleksa Ilic stood out and scored 16 points.
