The previous season's top scorer in the Superliga spent the Christmas holidays in his hometown of Vaslui, where he attended a football event where ASC Ivacec Vaslui, the local team, faced a team made up of several players originally from Vaslui.

There, Louis Munteanu was photographed wearing a T-shirt of the rival FCSB, a fact that attracted harsh criticism from the CFR management, both through the voice of the patron Ioan Varga, and through that of the club president, Iuliu Mureșan.

Insistently desired by FCSB in the last period, Louis Munteanu shocked when he appeared wearing the rival's shirt, and Mihai Stoica commented on the images.

“First of all, if we're going to have all the data, we need to see the picture from the back, to check if it's Mihai Popescu's t-shirt (no – laughs). I like that he kept this t-shirt and that he also went to the gym with him.

He also wore the shirt of Rapid. He was dressed in Aioani's black goalkeeper shirt. I really think he's telling the truth. This also explains something else. After a match he said: “I'm smarter than Dawa and Mihai Popescu”.

He said it in a provocative manner, but now I think it was a joke. I also know from Mihai Popescu that they were friends. Dawa got a little annoyed. I think it is an innocent gesture and that we give it too much importance.

During this break, being at home with my parents, I participated in a demonstration tour in Vaslui, my hometown.

For a while I wore the shirt of my friend and former colleague from Farul, Mihai Popescu, as a sign of friendship and support for him in a difficult moment, going through an injury that kept him away from the field.
