In Krasnoyarsk, investigators opened a criminal case into the death of a woman and her son.

The press service of the investigative department said that a 43-year-old woman and her 6-year-old son moved into a house on Parashutnaya Street in June 2025. According to preliminary data, neighbors last saw them in September. With the start of the heating season, neighbors began to complain about the radiators getting airy, but no one opened the door.

Only on December 22 was the apartment opened. It was locked with a key from the inside. A deceased woman and her child were found in the room. They were lying on the sofa in the room.

“Investigators and criminologists inspected the scene of the incident. No visible signs of criminal death were found on the bodies of the victims. Forensic medical examinations have been ordered in the criminal case to establish the exact cause of death of the victims. During the investigation, all the circumstances of the incident will be established,” the press service reported.

Investigators confirmed media reports that the bodies were mummified. Therefore, the neighbors did not notice the unpleasant odor. The apartment belongs to a deceased woman.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under paragraphs. “a”, “c” part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two persons, including a minor). In addition, based on this fact, an inspection was organized against officials of the prevention system authorities under Part 1 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence).
