The mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Vereshchagin commented on the information about his Moscow registration, which was previously published by some media outlets.
Answering questions from journalists after the inauguration, the new head of the city confirmed that he is registered in the capital. However, he does not see this as a reason for excitement.
“It seems to me that it is not prohibited for us to have registration in a place other than where you actually live. Moreover, this does not in any way prevent a person from fulfilling his duties and performing them at a fairly good level. I really have a Moscow registration. I’ve never really bothered with this, well, I’m sorry,” he commented Sergey Vereshchagin.
He also said that his family had recently moved to another apartment, so he was thinking of registering there. “Well, apparently they’re pushing me, I’ll have to do this in January,” the mayor concluded.
Let us remind you that today, December 25, Sergei Vereshchagin officially took up his duties as head of the city.
