In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 16-year-old girl violated railway safety rules and was injured. This was reported by the Siberian transport police.
It all happened this morning, December 24th. The police who arrived at the scene found that two girls were crossing the railway on a pedestrian platform. They stopped between tracks to let a freight train pass, after which one of them was injured by an electric train passing along the adjacent track.
The minor was taken to the hospital with a traumatic brain injury, and doctors are now treating her. The victim's friend did not receive any injuries.
Currently, a procedural check is being carried out on the fact of the incident on the grounds of a crime under Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of railway transport).
The KrasRussian Railways press service reminds: it is prohibited to stand between tracks when trains are passing, as well as to walk on the tracks and along the railway bed closer than five meters from the outermost rail. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in injury from protruding elements of the rolling stock or a pedestrian being pulled under the carriages by the air flow.
