Rospotrebnadzor warned Krasnoyarsk residents about the risks when purchasing products through social networks.

Experts have noticed that a large number of groups are appearing on social networks where they accept orders for fish, seafood, meat and meat delicacies, seasonal berries, etc. The order is transferred to the buyer in parking lots, spontaneous markets, areas near shopping centers and other unauthorized places of trade.

Rospotrebnadzor warns that such products usually do not have any documents confirming the quality and safety of the products. The product itself does not have a label indicating the manufacturer, production date and expiration date.

There is also no way to check whether the seller complied with storage and transportation conditions, as well as compliance with basic sanitary standards.

“In addition, purchasing from a private person also risks the fact that relations between two citizens will not be regulated by consumer protection legislation. Therefore, the consumer will have to submit their demands for a refund for low-quality products independently in court.», — reported the press service of the department.

Rospotrebnadzor reminded that from May 1, 2024, all sturgeon and salmon caviar must be marked with a unique Data Matrix code. Consumers can check the authenticity of products and ensure their quality and safety through the free mobile application “Honest Sign”.
