Orlen bought 4.5 million Energa shares at an average price of PLN 18.86 per share

Orlen bought over 4.5 million Energa shares, including 2,318,690 in response to the invitation and 2,248,380 on the regulated market at an average price of PLN 18.86 per share – Orlen's press office informed PAP Biznes.

“Orlen maintains its readiness to purchase the remaining shares of Energa on the market. We would also like to emphasize that the concern responded to the expectations of minority shareholders and provided liquidity to the market,” Orlen's press office informed PAP Biznes.

“As a result, Orlen purchased over 4.5 million shares of Energa – 2,318,690 in response to the invitation and 2,248,380 on the regulated market at an average price of PLN 18.86 per share, i.e. at a price lower than that specified in the invitation,” it added.

In November, Orlen announced that it wanted to increase its involvement in Energa to 100%. and will send an invitation to shareholders of this company to submit offers for the sale of shares, offering PLN 18.87 per share.

Before the transactions, Orlen held a total of 376,488,640 shares of Energa, which constituted 90.92 percent. its capital and gives 93.28 percent. votes at the General Meeting. (PAP Business)
