Nick Kyrgios (30 years old, 671 ATP) returns to the court in January, and on December 28 he will play a demonstration match, “Battle of the Sexes”in Dubai, against Arina Sabalenka.
The Australian has had numerous problems with injuries in the last two years, but is gradually returning to competitive activity.
He will first be present at the “Battle of the Sexes” on December 28 in Dubai. Sabalenka will be playing on a smaller court than Kyrgios, and both will have only one serve at their disposal.
Next up is the demonstration tournament Kooyong Classic (Melbourne), and after that he will participate in the tournament in Brisbane, for which he received a wildcard. The Australian, a former finalist at Wimbledon 2022, chose the best match of all time for TNT Sports.
Nick Kyrgios has chosen the best match and the best tennis player of all time
“I love the Federer – Nadal match they played at Wimbledon in 2008 when Nadal won his first title in London. It was incredible”, said Kyrgios, quoted by sportal.blic.rs.
When it came to choosing the greatest player of all time, Kyrgios had no hesitation: “It's Novak Djokovic.”
Kyrgios often spoke admiringly of the Serbian tennis player, being impressed by Novak's mentality and talent. Now he is focused on getting back to winning ways, hoping injuries will be a thing of the past.
The Australian was considered one of the biggest talents in the world of tennis, but his career did not evolve in the desired direction, largely due to his behavior and lifestyle that did not include the necessary care of his own body, as an athlete should.
