Russia's first black deputy has died. The cause of death of Jean Grégoire Sagbo was tentatively stated to be a stroke.
The man was educated in the USSR. I was imbued with the Russian spirit and stayed. He lived in the village of Novozavidovsky, Tver region, with his wife. After the collapse of the Union, he went into business, and in 2010 he was elected to the district council of deputies. Subsequently, he participated in elections three more times, and in 2015 he again became a deputy of the district assembly. In recent years, Sagbo was the chairman of the local SNT.
For his active social and political activities, Jean was called the Russian Barack Obama. Gregoire Sagbo himself said that he categorically rejects such a comparison due to the difference in views. The funeral took place recently in his homeland of Benin.
