1883 – Publication of the volume “Poems” by Mihai Eminescu
On December 21, 1883, the volume appeared “Poems” of Mihai Eminescu, edited by Titu Maiorescu, the only one printed during the poet's lifetime. The edition included 64 poems selected by Maiorescu.

The volume formed the basis of the first authorized edition of his work and established the selection of texts officially published during the poet's lifetime. The preface signed by Maiorescu introduced the editorial criteria and provided information about the context of the publication.
