On the eve of the Day of Knowledge, attackers activate the schemes of deception aimed at the parents of schoolchildren and students. The new threats are reported by Opsome.ru with reference to the analyst Yuri Silaev, the head of the laboratory of trusted artificial intelligence, the MIREA RTU.
According to the expert, one of the most popular was the scheme with the creation of fake chats in messengers.
“Attackers carefully copy the avatars and names of these class teachers, adding parents to a conversation, where on behalf of the teacher a request for an urgent collection of money for class needs, protection or gifts,” said Yuri Silaev.
He emphasized that the criminals are creating an artificial rush, so that a person who succumbed to panic, translated the means, not having time to double -check the information.

No less relevant, according to the analyst, are phishing attacks. Parents are massively sending out reports of large discounts on school uniforms, an office or a win in a competition for an educational course.
A link in such messages leads to a dummer site, where a bank card or login with passwords is lured by a user under a plausible pretext.
The threat is also posed by attacks aimed at hacking accounts of electronic diaries and school portals. Fraudsters send false notifications of hacking or the need to update the system to take possession of personal data.
The expert calls the main protection against all types of fraud critical thinking and the rule of two channels. Any information, especially related to a request for money, must be double -checked with a personal call or a message on official communication channels.
