“It is true that what happened in the Senate at the beginning of this week was not a good thing. This is the truth and it was a violation of protocol by the PSD. Now, we have two strategic possibilities in this coalition.

We have the possibility to continue exclusively following the political agenda of each one, some to try to create opposition within the government, others to maximize one profile or another. This applies to all parties, I don't go to one party or another”said Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, in an interview with Cotidianul, about the PSD vote, in the Senate, against the Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu.

About the attacks coming from within the coalition, “that pass a certain level”, the prime minister says that “they are only the prelude to a break in any notion of trust, sense of team and responsibility”

And if this continues, it's only a matter of time before things end badly. This is a reality”said the head of the Executive.

He mentioned that another possibility is for this coalition to reset itself.

The prime minister also emphasizes the need for a serious analysis of the coalition's activity, specifically “of what was good, of what was bad”. He points out that without mutual respect between coalition parties and correcting wrongs, government performance will be difficult.

“We had a good meeting this week in which we established some important aspects for the next period, important for Romania, not for the coalition.

But, the fact that we agreed to do this, the fact that we established a roadmap for the next period shows that this coalition has the ability to make compromises, not that compromise each of us, but the absolutely normal compromises in a four-party structure, because only in this way can we govern effectively, respect the people. And only in this way would we be able to regain the trust of the people, each party, some in a greater weight, others less and ensure stability in government“, the prime minister mentioned.
