OMNIASIG exceeds the goal it set for its 30th anniversary: over 33,000 trees planted in Romania for a sustainable future
OMNIASIG Vienna Insurance Group announces the planting, only through teams of volunteer employees, a 33,400 saplingsthus exceeding the objective that the company assumed and communicated at the beginning of this year, namely 30,000 new trees planted. The planting activities, carried out in the spring and autumn months of 2025, are an integral part of the anniversary campaign OMNIASIG 30 years, “SYNC for the FUTURE”and support the company's sustainability strategy through concrete facts with long-term impact.
On the occasion of celebrating 30 years of activity in Romania, OMNIASIG launched at the beginning of the year, as part of the anniversary campaign, a special initiative: for each newly concluded CASCO policy* in 2025, the company undertook to plant a tree, through teams of volunteer employees, thus contributing concretely to the protection of the environment and to ensuring a greener future.
Up to this moment, through the involvement of over 560 OMNIASIG volunteers from the whole country, 33,400 saplings have been planted in 11 counties in Romania. These initiatives contribute to restoring the forest fund and protecting biodiversity.
The areas where the most seedlings were planted:
- Ilfov County: 7,000 saplings (oak, cherry, hawthorn, bramble)
- Giurgiu County: 4,500 saplings (acacia, oak, ash)
- Timiș County: 1,500 saplings (downy oak, Pennsylvania ash, mojdrean, acacia, salciorea, dovecot)
- Covasna County: 3,500 seedlings (gorun)
- Bihor County: 3,000 saplings (oak)
- Prahova County: 3,000 saplings (Penduculate oak)
- Galati County 2,100 saplings (penduculate oak)
- Argeș County: 2,000 saplings (spruce)
