In Krasnoyarsk, the domestic Aurora operating system will be tested on smartphones and tablets

On December 17, the first official meeting dedicated to the domestic mobile operating system (OS) Aurora, developed by the Open Mobile Platform company, a subsidiary of Rostelecom, will take place in Krasnoyarsk.
The event will be the start of the OS beta testing program in the region, where participants will be able to try out Russian smartphones and tablets with new technological solutions, including the hybrid workplace mode version 5.2.
“The Aurora beta testing program began in 2021 and today brings together more than 700 specialists from 17 cities in Russia. This year, Krasnoyarsk was included in their number. The participation of our experts and enthusiasts is an important stage in the development of domestic IT solutions and an opportunity to influence the further development of technologies,” said Alexey Usatov, director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.
“By creating a platform together with the regions, we are creating a secure mobile environment that helps government and business structures implement the tasks of digital transformation and ensure information security. Each stage of improving the platform is the result of the work of not only the development team, but also active beta testers,” noted Tatyana Kaznova, head of community development for Aurora OS.
