Deputy Minister of Justice Arkadiusz Myrcha assessed that the key moment of work on the planned act relating to the consideration of “franc” cases had begun. Amendments have been submitted, but we want the bill to be voted on in January, when we have two sessions of the Sejm, he told PAP.

On Wednesday, the joint justice and human rights and economy and development committees began work on the draft bill prepared by the Ministry of Justice on “special solutions for examining cases relating to loan agreements concluded with consumers denominated or indexed to the Swiss franc.” They supported further processing of these provisions and voted against PiS's motion to reject the project.
– The assumption of this act is that we need to improve these court proceedings, because this is one of the problems that the courts are currently facing. (…) We are trying to find a golden mean so that this law, by focusing on court procedures, does not give an advantage to one or the other side – Myrcha told PAP.
As he emphasized, “we are before a key moment of work on the bill in the Sejm.” – We will think about possible changes against the background of Wednesday's discussion in committees, but we want this bill to be passed in fact in January, when we have two sessions of the Sejm – said the deputy minister.
During Wednesday's committee meeting, Dominik Jaśkowiec (KO) proposed four amendments. One, for example, refers to enabling courts to use simplified forms of justification of judgments in “franc” cases in the first instance. Another amendment is intended to clarify and expand controversial provisions of the project related to the so-called charge of hit-and-run. Myrcha confirmed that these amendments were initially consulted with the Ministry of Justice.
