Russia has proposed introducing a tax on trips abroad
The Russian Union of Travel Industry wants to create a state fund into which tourists would pay a contribution when purchasing a tour abroad.
The authors of the initiative called this a “tourist analogue of an export duty” and proposed to direct the collected funds to the development of domestic tourism.
