Gigi Becali praised the justice in Great Britain for the fact that the trial lasted only 7 months, but emphasized the fact that he is proud of the Romanian people due to the fact that such massacres do not happen in Romania. Afterwards, there was a discussion with the moderator of the show, who reminded the boss from FCSB that there were many cases of femicide in Romania, in the year 2025.

On May 26, Liverpool celebrated their 20th title in England. During the parade in the city, a car drove into the crowd, injuring 134 people, including two babies.

The English authorities caught the attacker, Paul Doyle, 54 years old. Seven months after the incident, Liverpool Crown Court sentenced him to 21 years and 6 months in prison.
Gigi Becali, controversial statement after the incidents in Liverpool: “I prefer justice like this, unfair. My people are better!”
“My intervention was not about football. It was about what you said about the judiciary and what happened there (not that it only took seven months for the English to convict Doyle). And I say it now, we are not comparing ourselves to them. They are much more advanced than us.
They are more civilized, more advanced in everything. Just to tell you one thing. Well, boy, I am proud of my country that there is no Romanian who drives into a crowd, injures or kills people.
There is no such thing in Romania! As such, I prefer justice like this, unfair, than someone driving into a crowd to kill people. My people are better“, Gigi Becali began his intervention on the show “Digi Sport Special”.
Later, the moderator Vali Moraru intervened, mentioning the fact that in Romania there were many cases of femicide in the year 2025, after which a dialogue started between the two.
– Vali Moraru: Your people kill women. 50 women only in 2025. The Romanian police have been looking for and haven't found a man for months. Are you proud?
– Gigi Becali: There are dozens of them like that. They enter and kill children in schools. And let me say something else, this all comes from them.
– Vali Moraru: You are proud that women are killed in Romania, right? Through domestic violence.
– Gigi Becali: I'm not, because it's all from them. All evil comes only from them! It is true that we must take their money, but let us not take what is bad from them.
– Vali Moraru: So the evil is from them, we are proud to be so good, but their influence is bad.
– Gigi Becali: With us it's rare, with them it's the law. Here, you rarely see something like this!
– Vali Moraru: OK, I agree with that principle, but you can't just take what's good.
