Energy supply to the Tagulskoye field of the Vankor cluster was strengthened with new capacities

RN-Vankor launched the 110/35/10 kV Tagul electrical substation with a capacity of 2×63 MVA. It will ensure reliable energy supply to the facilities of the Tagulskoye field, which is part of the Vankor cluster.
Energy comes to Tagul from the Polyarnaya gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 150 MW at the Vankor field. To connect the GTPP with the Tagul substation, a 110 kV power transmission line with a length of more than 70 km was built.
The construction of the substation was accelerated due to the installation of highly prefabricated structures. The building is equipped with power transformers, closed switchgears of 35 and 10 kV, and a control center is equipped.

Domestic design solutions applied at the Tagul substation have been tested by the successful operation of the Vankor energy complex in the conditions of the Far North. The switchgear circuit remains operational even if individual elements fail, which increases the overall reliability of power supply to oil production facilities in the field.
“Tagul” is the eighth 110 kV substation in the Vankor cluster of fields. Two more similar substations are in the final stage of installation. The total length of overhead power lines already exceeds 1.9 thousand km. The largest substation, Vankor, with a capacity of 250 MVA, connects the Vankor energy district with the Unified Energy System of the country.
