Zelensky thanked Germany for the opportunity to intensify work for peace in Ukraine.
“Indeed, these are important days that can solve a lot of things. I hope that they can help bring peace closer. Although this is very difficult,” the president said. “We feel that Ukraine’s partners hear, are ready to help, are ready to look for exactly the kind of solutions that will make peace worthy and security guaranteed.”
Zelensky added that security guarantees for Kyiv “must work” and “be clear, first of all, for the people of Ukraine.”
According to the president, there are also “difficult things” in the negotiations.
“In particular, with regard to the territories […] There was enough dialogue about territories. So far we have different positions, I’ll be honest. But I think that my colleagues heard my personal position […] But everyone is ready to work productively to find solutions with respect for Ukraine that will bring the real end of the war closer,” Zelensky said.
