Ukrainians do not want to compromise with Russia. Results of the latest survey


Almost three-quarters of Ukrainian citizens declare support for the peace plan, which assumes freezing the situation on the front line with security guarantees, but without formal recognition of the occupied territories as part of Russia. Only 14 percent respondents expressed strong opposition to such a solution, according to the latest survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KMIS).
The survey was conducted from November 26 to December 13 this year, and its results were published by the Interfax-Ukraine agency. As reported, as much as 75 percent Ukrainians are rejected by the alternative version of the peace plan, which provides for the withdrawal of troops from Donbas, a reduction in the size of the Ukrainian army and the lack of specific security guarantees. Only 17 percent respondents would be willing to accept such a scenario.

When will the war end? Ukrainians predict
According to the survey, only 9 percent respondents expect the war to end by early 2026, which is a significant drop compared to September, when 18 percent expressed such hope. Ukrainians. In turn, 14 percent hopes to end the conflict in the first half of 2026, which is also a slight decline compared to previous results. As noted, 32 percent citizens predict that the war will last until 2027 or longer, and every third respondent admitted that they cannot estimate when the conflict will end.
The Interfax-Ukraine agency points out that majority of Ukrainians – 63 percent — declares readiness to endure the hardships of war for as long as necessary.
