Superliga – Daniel Pancu announces several departures from CFR Cluj: “They are not compatible with me”

Daniel Pancu (48 years old), CFR Cluj coach, announced restructuring regarding his team's squad, according to Golazo.ro

Pancu revealed that the players who will not adapt to his principles will leave the group from Gruia this winter.

“I think I made a close to reality image of the players. It's normal that there are some who are not compatible with me, with training, with my energy. You have to give everything in training and in the match, that's how I evaluate everyone.

To give up players and bring in others requires finances, this is no longer my domain, ask the management. I'm not a manager. The players remain with the club.

At the beginning of the week we have 32 players, then we are left with a maximum of 24. It is unpleasant to leave players behind the goal, it damages the atmosphere. There are not ten that leave, there are some that are not even passed, that you don't even know about – Kone, Peloggia.

Even if we have 32 players, there are 2-3 positions where we don't have doubles and it would be important to get reinforcements there,” Pancu told Digi Sport.

The technician of the Romanian vice-champion asked for reinforcements from the management, but first he wants the officials of the formation from Gruia to solve the financial problems the team is facing.

“We would need Slimani at Botoșani, let's see if he returns. Normally, he should return. Cernigoi and Badamosi have not played for a very long time.

The club must bring stability: daily wages and 3–4 transfers. Then we see, we go to the camp, the fight is very complicated.

Not even an athlete can be good when you have four coaches in a few months. I'm happy with what I've done so far. There are players who will leave for significant sums, but it depends on what you bring to the place, this is where the talent is”, concluded Pancu.
