Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will go to Washington on Monday, a White House official on Saturday, in which Donald Trump has imposed radical customs rates for all countries.

On Thursday, the next day after announcing the rates, Trump said he was expecting a visit from his Israeli ally “in a not too distant future, maybe next week,” Neighs.ro.

During this visit, it is expected that Netanyahu will try to convince Donald Trump to give up his plans to impose 17%customs duties, according to Axios.

Most of the products that the US imports from the rest of the world are targeted on Saturday of 10%additional customs duties, but the invoice will be even higher for April 9 for certain countries, such as Israel, which exports to the United States.

This visit takes place at a time when a new cessation of fire seems to be distant in the Palestinian territory Gaza-the Israeli army has intensified its operations in this area-and when the tensions related to Iran's nuclear program are increasing.

The US President, who asked Tehran to negotiate about his nuclear program, has threatened in recent days that he would bomb Iran if diplomacy fails. Iran states that he is ready to talk to the United States, but has refused direct discussions under threats and pressure.
