CFR Cluj opened the 20th stage of the Super League with an expected victory, 3-1 against Csikszereda, thanks to a successful hat-trick by Andrei Cordea (minutes 6, 46 and 90+6, the last from the penalty). Bodo scored for Ciucani, in the 71st minute, maintaining the tension of the end of the match.

On the transfer window: “I also want quality players”
Asked if the club should abandon the “Athletic Bilbao model” and bring in players, Ilyeș replied:
“I can't comment… Honestly, I also want to work with quality players, as CFR was todayand as a coach it would be much better for me in every way. That's the situation, winter is coming and it remains to be seen if anything changes. In the play-out there will be another championship.
If we manage to make good decisions for the club, we will perform. If not, we will go for the academy players and the same philosophy.”
The technician also spoke about the next opponent, Universitatea Craiova: “They are fighting for the title!”
Craiova is a very good team. The value of the team, the public, plays perhaps the best football in the Romanian championship. Too bad they lost the Conference game. I see them fighting for the title.
