The Prosecutor General's Office will inspect Chinese Shacman trucks due to serious certification violations. Also, two more brands may fall under the comb – Sitrak and Howo. Everyone faces complete withdrawal from the Russian market.
The day before, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov reported violations in the certification of three Chinese brands. The Prosecutor General's Office will check a series of Chinese Shacman trucks – there have been complaints about a problem with the brakes. If this is so, the brand faces a recall and a ban on sales in the Russian Federation.
Heavy loaders Sitrak and Howo may be next in line for inspection. Drivers complained en masse to the National Automobile Union about their accident rate on the road. After which NAS contacted the Government and said that Sitrak was inactive regarding the recall campaign of its trucks.
