Tension is rising off the coast of Venezuela. Americans are planning their next steps

According to Reuters, the Trump administration has prepared a list of additional tankers that it intends to seize, citing the sanctions imposed on Venezuelan entities.

On Thursday, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was asked about the matter during a press briefing. She did not answer directly whether the US would seize more tankers, but said that further steps would be taken.

“We will not stand idly by as sanctioned ships sail the seas with black market oil, the proceeds of which fuel the narco-terrorism of dishonest and illegal regimes around the world,” she said.
