Czechs, tested for patience in Banie: what problems did the ultras from Sparta Prague encounter at Craiova airport

Sparta Prague had a real test of patience in Craiova. After facing the University of Craiova in the Conference League group on Thursday night, winning 2-1, the Czechs should have left the city immediately. But their plans were completely turned upside down.

Due to dense fog and poor visibility, the team's return flight could not take off either on Thursday evening or during the day on Friday. Around 15:00, the Sparta delegation was finally given the green light to leave the airport after a 15-hour delay.
Unexpected situation in Craiova
The situation also affected approximately 300 supporters, who were stranded at the airport due to technical malfunctions of the aircraft. Luck was on the side of those who secured alternative tickets from Otopeni airport, thus escaping the chaos in Craiova.
The problems were accentuated by the lack of an anti-fog system at the Craiova airport, which would allow landing and take-off in difficult weather conditions. At the end of the match, Sparta Prague coach Brian Priske was already warning that the team could face such difficulties, the feared scenario becoming reality.
“We will have to see if we can leave tonight, we are still waiting for confirmation. A difficult match awaits us on Sunday, against a team that concedes goals very rarely, Slovan Liberec. It would be complicated to take off tomorrow, but that's football. You have to be ready for anything”, said Brian Priske, coach of Sparta Prague.
Rrahmani returns to “Ion Oblemenco”
Albion Rrahmani returned on “Ion Oblemenco”, this time in a different context, but with equally strong emotions.
“It's always good when you score, especially for a striker. It's important to have confidence in every match. We had two months without scoring a goal. I remember (not the debut at Rapid, on Ion Oblemenco), it was one of the most beautiful days of my life when I scored here. I always remember and watch the replays. I would be happy if the same thing happens tomorrow.
There was no problem between me and the club, it was just speculation. I have many friends at Rapid, I will keep in touch with them all my life. They are number 1 now, they play the best football, they have a young team with talented players. I don't know… everything can change in a year, we'll see what happens tomorrow.
(no about World Cup qualifying) It's tough, we have to play against Slovakia, which is a very good team with very good players. We have to be fully focused on this match. I don't know, I hope, honestly, that it will be Romania (no in the final of the pool)“, said Rrahmani, according to digisport.ro.
