The child was caught driving the car on a street in a commune in Dolje. Checks in the Police database indicated that the car is written off, having false registration numbers installed.
“On the morning of November 29, at around 03:20, policemen from the 12th Daneți Rural Police Department, while they were performing their duties in Amărăştii de Jos commune, noticed a car on Traian street which, at the sight of the police crew, increased its speed. The policemen issued a legal stop signal for the car, the driver being a registered driver minor, 14 years old, from the locality. Also, following the checks carried out, the police established that the car is removed from circulation, and the mounted registration number belongs to another car”, the Dolj County Police reported on Sunday.
Judicial sources told News.ro that the car the teenager was driving belonged to his family and had been removed from circulation in the summer of this year.
According to the same sources, the child's parents stated that they did not know that he left with the car on the public road at night.
The police have opened a criminal case for committing the crimes of driving a vehicle without a driver's license and putting into circulation or driving an unregistered vehicle.
