Young Divnogorsk residents saw an environmental performance from En+ volunteers

In Divnogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, the environmental play “New Adventures of a Pilot and the Little Prince” was staged. It was created by corporate volunteers of the En+ company together with the creative team of the city palace of culture “Energetik” and the actors of the Bumbarash theater.

Young viewers saw the main characters go on a journey to different planets and face difficult challenges there. This helped them realize the importance of caring for nature, waste sorting, wise consumption of resources and many other environmental aspects.

“In our performance, the planet is a real symbol of the fight for the conservation of nature. We want to convey to the audience a simple truth: each of us is the guardian of our own planet,” shared Maria Dergacheva, project manager, employee of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station.

The performance involves interactive communication with the audience. Professional artists created the sets and original costumes for the actors from recycled materials.

“It was a very interesting experience working with non-professional actors. The heroes of the play – volunteers of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station – honed every movement and every line during rehearsals. It was especially touching to watch how adults with sparkling eyes rehearsed their roles, putting a piece of their soul into them,” said the director of the play Ekaterina Izmestyeva.

More than 100 people came to the premiere of the performance. Young spectators enthusiastically followed the adventures of the heroes, and their parents noted the importance and relevance of the environmental topic.

“Children need such performances. Ecology is not boring lectures, but a bright story that is remembered for a long time,” said Ekaterina Artishevskaya, curator of the En+ corporate volunteering program in Divnogorsk.

The “Eco-friendly Theater” project is the winner of the “Inspire and Act” corporate grant competition and is being implemented as part of the corporate volunteering program of the En+ and RUSAL companies “It’s Easy to Help.”
