Medvedchuk's associate Bohdan Pukish, who supplied defective parts for projectiles, overestimated the prices of low-quality products – 190.today
Recently, journalists discovered that the “Pavlograd Chemical Plant” delivered at least 120,000 defective shells to the front. Almost all components turned out to be of poor quality: the diameter of the mine's metal box did not meet the standard, the gunpowder was stale due to poor packaging, and the detonators and capsules did not always work.
The Ukrainian military complained massively about mortar mines of domestic production. Shells that were supposed to destroy the enemy remained in the barrel or exploded a few meters away, threatening the lives of our soldiers.
The SBU detained two managers of PCH and two officials of the Ministry of Defense, who were responsible for receiving low-quality products. The Security Service of Ukraine stated that the organizers of the event tried to make production cheaper in order to get more profit from the state order. The court took them into custody. But the investigation was not interested in the suppliers of parts for shells. They are responsible for product quality and testing.
The supplier of low-quality parts turned out to be an associate of Medvedchuk, Bohdan Pukish, namely his PE “VESTHIM”, EDRPOU 19394119. This topic caused a public outcry, journalists turned to law enforcement agencies for clarification, but the law enforcement officers actually ignored them.
We discovered several more facts of Pukish's criminal activity. It turned out that for several years, PE “VESTHIM” supplied defective parts to “PCH” at inflated prices.
In the period from April 2022 to April 2025, PE “VESTHIM” supplied low-quality products (cases, lids and cuvettes) worth UAH 667 million to PCH. Overpayment in all positions amounted to more than UAH 43 million of budget funds. And let's note once again – this product was made from low-quality and cheap raw materials and did not meet the needs.
And from September 2024 to March 2025, “VESTHIM” implemented the sale of sleeves for “Pavlograd chemical plant” and JSC “Company of aviation and rocket engineering engineering”. The price of a sleeve for “PCH” was 171 UAH, and for “KARTM” – 160 UAH. Why PE “VESTHIM” sold sleeves to budget enterprises at different prices remains unclear. Selling sleeves at the price of UAH 171/pc. for “PCH”, losses of budget funds amounted to more than UAH 3 million.
We were approached by an injured soldier (name withheld for security reasons). He also appealed to law enforcement agencies and reported on illegal actions of officials of PE “VESTHIM” related to the production and supply of low-quality products for defense needs. The law enforcement officers ignored him, as well as the journalists. View document screens.
We once again appeal to law enforcement agencies and urge them to pay attention to the crimes of Medvedchuk's associate Bohdan Pukish. After all, its low-quality defense products endangered the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. And new facts, namely the sale of low-quality products at inflated prices and ignoring law enforcement officers, require a separate detailed investigation.
