The Plenipotentiary Representative of the USSR to the USA A. A. Troyanovsky stopped in Birobidzhan on his way to America. He got acquainted with the socialist construction of the Jewish Autonomous Region and visited the Waldheim collective farm, schools, and the apartments of collective farmers Gefen and Golodovsky. In a conversation with reporters he said: “I decided to stop in Birobidzhan not by chance. The formation of the Jewish Autonomous Region made a strong impression abroad on all circles of the population, especially on Jews.”

December 8, 1950

The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the Executive Committee of the Regional Council of Workers' Deputies adopted a resolution “On providing patronage assistance to collective farms in the region in the construction of houses for displaced people,” which defines specific measures for the construction of 113 houses in collective farms of the Jewish Autonomous Region in the form of patronage assistance.

December 8, 1953

In order to increase the agricultural knowledge of the leading regional party, Soviet, trade union and Komsomol activists, the regional committee of the CPSU adopted a resolution to open a lecture hall on agricultural issues at the regional committee of the CPSU. The topics of the lectures and the composition of the audience were approved.

In the village of Stalinsk, where the village of Nagibovo is now located, Oktyabrsky district, a ski run (0+) was organized along the Stalinsk-Birobidzhan route. Along the route, skiers carried out explanatory work about the significance of the first congress of regional councils.

The newspaper “Birobidzhanskaya Zvezda” (12+) writes that according to the resolution of the Council of People's Commissars in the Jewish Autonomous Region it is planned to build a mining and metallurgical college in Birakancomrade was appointed director of the technical school. Levitan: “At the mining and metallurgical college, 90 people will study in the first year. In addition, preparatory courses for 60 people will be organized. The college will graduate specialists in blast furnace production, mining, and electricians in the operation and installation of mining mechanisms.”

December 8, 1935

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” wrote on December 8, 1935 that in commemoration of the XV Far Eastern Komsomol, students of the pedagogical college made a walking trek (0+) across the region. The main task of the transition is to popularize the Stakhanov movement among collective farmers in the region. 10 students, excellent students, took part in the transition: “Transition route: Birobidzhan – Blyukherovo – Stalinsk – Amurzet – Ekaterino-Nikolsk – Polikarpovka – Pompeevka – Obluchye – Londoko – Bira – Birobidzhan.”
