A striking sporting event completed the series of corporate competitions of the Siberian Generating Company this year. Ice battles took place in the professional arena of the Krasnoyarsk sports complex “Platinum Arena”, where four teams from Krasnoyarsk, Kuzbass, Novosibirsk and Altai fought for victory.

The team match opened with a colorful dance. The figure skaters, easily gliding across the ice, instantly immersed the guests and athletes in the atmosphere of celebration and friendly competition.

The heads of SGC enterprises came to support the hockey players and addressed the participants with parting words. General Director of the Yenisei TGC (a division of the SGC in the Krasnoyarsk Territory) Oleg Bubnovsky emphasized: “Hockey is a strong, strong-willed game, strategy and tactics are important in it. But don’t forget that these are colleagues, comrades, all energy workers. Therefore, play with dedication, but honestly, in a friendly manner, support each other.”

General Director of Kuzbassenergo JSC Viktor Larioshkin noted: “It’s nice that colleagues supported the sports initiative and today the hockey tournament is being held in Krasnoyarsk. We will develop our glorious tradition of playing sports and winning. I wish everyone a fair, real and interesting game.”

Teams from Krasnoyarsk and Kuzbass were the first to enter the battle. From the first minutes of the match, the athletes showed character. Most of the players are amateurs, but you can’t tell by the speed of movement on the ice, maneuvers and clarity of passes.

Defense player of the Krasnoyarsk team, fuel supply operator of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 Anatoly Lukashevsky, shared his mood: “The team is young, we have only been playing together for two years, but all the players are very responsible. We train weekly and give it our all. We expect good emotions and sports excitement from today’s game.”

Events on the site unfolded rapidly. Already in the fourth minute of the first period, the Kuzbass team opened the scoring thanks to an accurate shot by Artyom Kuzmin. The intensity of passion on the ice and in the stands was incredible. Fans, including colleagues of the players, supported the teams with applause and chants.

“It is clear that there is a sportsmanship on the ice, and the guys play with maximum effort. Team games make the team more united, which is important not only in sports, but also in work. It’s great that SGK supports and develops sports within the company,” noted long-time fan, chief specialist of the technical directorate for repairs of the Yenisei TGK Evelina Burgacheva.

In a bitter struggle, the team of JSC Kuzbassenergo won the first match with a score of 4:1.

“We’re happy with the result, but it was difficult. The Krasnoyarsk team is very strong, many guys stand out for their skill. I especially want to mention their goalkeeper. In general, the men were militant, they fought for every puck,” Oleg Noskov, a player of the winning team, deputy director of security at KTSK, shared his impressions.

The second semi-final match took place between the teams of SGK-Altai JSC and SGK-Novosibirsk JSC. Novosibirsk immediately seized the initiative. Dmitry Ezhikeev rolled the first puck into the goal of the Altai team. The tension did not subside during all three periods, the coaches actively changed the composition and tactics, thereby strengthening the game. As a result, the team from Novosibirsk won a confident victory with a score of 9:2.

“It was a good game. She showed us what we need to work on. The guys were great, they kept the speed, there were a lot of scoring chances,” commented Gennady Gorodnichev, head of the railway network district of Barnaul and part-time coach of the team of JSC SGK-Altai.

The ice hockey mini-tournament ended with an awards ceremony. The team of JSC Kuzbassenergo became the winner and holder of the Cup. In second place are athletes from JSC SGK-Novosibirsk. The team of JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” received bronze awards.

The tournament not only gave participants and spectators unforgettable emotions and vibrant sports competition, but also showed that sport is an important part of the corporate culture of SGC.
