An alert regarding the smell of gas was given on Saturday, December 6, at Secondary School no. 130, where there are two polling stations. The notification comes after a similar incident was reported on Friday in the same area.

“On 06.12.2025, around 10:35, the intervention structures were alerted by the gendarme on guard duty at polling stations no. 884 – 890, organized in the premises of Secondary School no. 130, Sector 5, regarding the fact that there is a smell of gas inside the building”states, on Saturday, in a press release, DGPMB
Following the notification, the necessary crews were immediately dispatched to check the situation, respectively: crews of ISU Bucharest – Ilfov, including CBRN structures, policemen from the Road Brigade and the 18th Police Department, as well as representatives of the gas distribution operator, the quoted source says.
“The smell was not from a methane gas leak, but from the sewage system”
To ensure the quick access of specialists and the safe conduct of the intervention, road traffic was temporarily restricted in the area adjacent to the educational unit, with the support of the traffic police.
The checks carried out on Saturday by the specialists confirmed again that the smell still comes from the sewage and there is no danger for the population or for the conduct of the electoral process.
