Ninel Peia, Senator of the Pace-First Romania group, declared that the censure motion entitled “Romania Is Not For Sale – A Government Without USR” it has already collected 119 signatures and is also supported by the AUR parliamentary group. This will be submitted on Friday, at 12.00.

Deputy Victor Ponta announced on Facebook that he has already signed the censure motion.

“Yesterday, at the Parliament, I signed the Motion of unaffiliated parliamentarians entitled, with all conviction “Romania is not for sale – a government without USR”!

It is about an initiative of more than 22 parliamentarians who understand the danger to Romania represented by the capture of the State (External Affairs, Defense, Economy, Environment, Public Radio, companies in which the State is a shareholder) by the group called USR – a group controlled and directed by external forces and acting against the national interest”. says Ponta on Facebook.

He shows that it is an initiative that the unaffiliated parliamentarians thought up together, and through which, directly and unequivocally, they show that they will unconditionally support any Government that frees Romania from the USR octopus.

“I am convinced that all the PSD parliamentarians and the absolute majority of those from the PNL agree with this initiative – but party discipline prevents them from publicly expressing these beliefs. The message for the Romanian people is essential: there is the courage to start the battle with this anti-Romanian group called USR.

The battle is difficult and long-lasting, but it is essential for Romania's future. External and internal propaganda now has the money and institutional tools necessary to support the subjugation of the country – but the fight against them is a legitimate fight for freedom, dignity, prosperity and for the national and European future of the Romanian people!”says Ponta.

In the context of the motion announced by the Opposition, the president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, said on Wednesday that the party remains in the governing coalition and that there is no change in the positioning of the PSD.

“The moment you are in government, you made a decision like any serious party makes in the leadership forums. The PSD made this decision about six months ago, almost five thousand colleagues voted, we all decided to be part of this coalition. Nothing has changed, I have called absolutely nothing. At this moment, the decision is in force”said Grindeanu, when asked if PSD could support the censure motion.

Asked what will happen if a PSD parliamentarian votes for the motion, the leader of the social democrats replied: “First, I'm not discussing assumptions. I don't think this will happen”.
