Billions of zlotys for Poczta Polska. The Ministry of Justice has decided

The Purchasing Center for the Judiciary (CZdS) has chosen the offer of Poczta Polska to handle judicial and prosecutorial mail, the state postal operator announced. The contract with the Ministry of Justice was concluded for two years and for the amount of almost PLN 1.9 billion.

“The new contract with the Ministry of Justice, which announced a tender for handling judicial and prosecutorial mail, was concluded for 2 years with the possibility of extension by 6 months and amounts to PLN 1 billion 890 million gross,” Poczta Polska said in a statement on Thursday.

Piotr Szajczyk, vice-president of Poczta Polska, quoted in the publication, said that handling court correspondence is a task of fundamental importance for the efficient functioning of the justice system. “Our priority is to ensure full continuity of deliveries and security of shipments that have a direct impact on citizens,” he declared.

The previous contract for handling postal deliveries for courts and prosecutors' offices was concluded for a period of three years in 2022. Recently, Poczta Polska has been handling parcels based on an annex signed in August this year to guarantee the continuity of services this year.

Poczta Polska is the national operator; delivers letters, parcels, pensions and money orders to Polish residents; it also operates on the market of communication and logistics services. The company employs 51 thousand. employees, has 7.6 thousand branches in the country. It delivers 800 million letters and 80 million parcels annually. (PAP)
