The cat saved its owner during a fire in the Saratov region. In the village of Nikolskoye, Volsky district, a 62-year-old man fell asleep with a cigarette in his hand, which led to a fire in his house.
As the Saratov 24 TV channel reports, the owner was awakened by his own cat, which began meowing loudly in a smoky room. The man managed to get out of the house on his own and was hospitalized with burns.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in an area of 32 square meters. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds about the dangers of smoking in bed and recommends installing fire detectors.
